CentOS is an open source Linux based operating system that provides a free, enterprise-class, community supported, Red Hat Enterprise Linux .

Step 1: Download The ISO Image

First you need to download the ISO Image file from official website of centos or click here to download.

Step 2: Make A bootable USB Drive

After you have downloaded the ISO image, make a bootable USB drive to using any software. There are bunch of software available which you can use to make boot able USB.

Step 1: Select Language

Select your preferred language by using the Keyboard.

Step 2: Select The Installation Destination

Click on the Installation Destination icon to change the default to custom partitioning.

Click on the drive you want to install CentOS 7 and under the Other Storage Options, select I will configure partitioning and click Done.

Step 3: Select The Partitioning

Here you have to select the partitioning scheme to use for the mount points. For this just choose standard partition and follow the steps given in the screen shots.

Step 4: Accept Changes And
Set Date & Time

After the above changes there will be a popup to accept the changes. Click accept changes and go to next step. In this step you have to set your systems date & time.

Step 5: Begin The Installation Process

When all settings are done installation will begin immediately. It will proceeds you need to set up a User account with the root password.

When the installation process will complete you are done. After this you need to install some extra feature for user interface like Gnome 3 Desktop Environment.
